Hand-tufted wool with inserts of polished metal with water and fish plus plants

I was fortunate enough to be invited to show my work at the West Exhibition in Tokyo, Japan, in 1993. The exhibition was organised by the interior designer Christopher Neville and the Art maker Yoichinakamuta.
I was asked to create a thoroughly unique piece; a hand-tufted rug that included water, live fish, plants, and inserts of polished metal.
The ‘Living Rug’ was featured in numerous industry and fashion publications, including Popeye Magazine, Japan and Elle Decoration, UK.
